Interesting things in Bible

Mind blowing ! Think about it ...

*THE 12 SONS OF JACOB (ISRAEL) IS THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST JESUS.!!*

Jacob had twelve (12) sons, and in their names put together was the gospel hidden but now revealed through it. Its so amazing how God hid all these wonderful truths inside simple names and stories.

Here are the names and their meanings:

*NAMES*       *MEANING*
*Reuben*:     _Behold, A Son is born to us_
*Simon*:       _One who hears_
*Levi:*           _Attached_
*Judah*:       _Praise the Lord_
*Dan*:          _He judged_
*Naphtali*:  _My Struggle_
*Gad*:           _Good fortune_
*Asher*:        _Happiness_
*Issachar*:   _Reward_
*Zebulun*:    _Honour_
*Joseph*:     _Add to my family_
*Benjamin*:  _Son of
righteousness_

When the names are joined together, this is what it says:

_BEHOLD, A SON IS BORN UNTO US, ONE WHO HEARS US AND BECAME ATTACHED UNTO US. PRAISE THE LORD. HE JUDGED OUR STRUGGLES AND BROUGHT US GOOD FORTUNE, HAPPINESS, REWARD, HONOR; HE ADDED US TO HIS FAMILY AND CALLED US THE SONS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS._

This completely blows one's mind when one discovers it. Jesus Christ is not just a mere name mentioned in sermons. Jesus is the content, the context, the text, the paragraph, the mark and the remark of the *"Word of Truth "*.
Jesus is the outline of the entire Bible. And His "scarlet thread" of redemption links & runs through the Bible!!!!!!!

*WHO ARE U DECEIVING ?*

You got angry in church and stopped being the member of the  *choir*, left *ushering* , stopped *sanctuary cleaning* and every other work you were doing in church.
Eventually you've stopped going to the *church* because someone spoke to you in a way you didn't like...

Most of the messages from the pulpit was against you from your opinion...

Nobody called you when you were *sick* because according to you, *"they do not love or care in the church..."*

But pls excuse me...
You've not stopped working for the boss who insults you most of the time, neither have you stopped work because your colleagues spoke ill of you... (Money was the reason)

When you were sick, you didn't wait for your boss to call you or look for you at work. Rather, you called and told him about your present condition. No complaint about him not visiting you (Fear of query or loss of the job)

Do you remember that at school, your teachers, your schoolmates and or even your best friends offended you, yet you didn't stop schooling..

You can easily miss Church but not lectures because the lecturer will take attendance which counts in assessment

You can be late with your appointment with God at Church but you will be extra early for your visa interview at the embassy...

*Who are you deceiving?*
I don't blame you too much. Maybe you don't know or you don't have adequate revelation about Church...

Please, Hear Me! Church is not a *"No Offense Club"* where all things must be done to please you and you alone.

*What have you done in church for the good of others?*

According to Scripture the first knowledge everybody must have about Church is that... It's *The House Of God* and *The Gate of Heaven*...
Genesis 28:17...

Your service to God must be with reverential fear, honor and respect.

God is watching... _
Change your attitude.

Please forward to your various platforms and let's effect a positive change for God.

Merry (Twelve Days of) Christmas Everyone

A good lesson. I didn't know this, so sharing with you all.

There is one Christmas Carol that has always baffled me.

What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won't come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas?

This week, I found out.

From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics.

It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.

•  The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.
•  Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.
•  Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.
•  The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
•  The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old   Testament.
•  The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.
•  Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit--Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.
• The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.
• Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit--Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.
• The ten lords a-leaping were the Ten Commandments.
• The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.
• The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed.

So there is your history for today. This knowledge was shared with me and I found it interesting and enlightening and now I know how that strange song became a Christmas Carol...so pass it on if you wish.'

HOW THE APOSTLES DIED.

1. Matthew. Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia, Killed by a sword wound.

2. Mark. Died in Alexandria, Egypt , after being dragged by Horses through the streets until he was dead.

3. Luke. Was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous Preaching to the lost.

4. John. Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge Basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution In Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered From death.
John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison Island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation on Patmos . The apostle John was later freed and returned to serve As Bishop of Edessa in modern Turkey . He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully

5. Peter. He was crucified upside down on an x shaped cross. According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die In the same way that Jesus Christ had died.

6. James. The leader of the church in Jerusalem , was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, his enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.

This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation.

7. James the Son of Zebedee was a fisherman by trade when Jesus Called him to a lifetime of ministry.

As a strong leader of the church, James was   beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial.

Later, the officer Walked beside James to the place of execution. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and Knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.

8. Bartholomew. Also known as Nathaniel. He Was a missionary to Asia. He witnessed for our Lord in present day Turkey. Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip.

9. Andrew. He Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied his body to the cross with cords to prolong his agony.

His followers reported that, when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these words, "I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it". He continued to preach to his tormentors For two days until he expired.

10. Thomas. He Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips to establish the church in the Subcontinent.

11. Jude. He Was killed with arrows when he refused to deny his faith in Christ.

12. Matthias. The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot. He was stoned and then beheaded.

13. Paul. He Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor Nero at Rome in A.D. 67. Paul endured a lengthy imprisonment, which allowed him to write his many epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the Roman Empire. These letters, which taught many of the foundational Doctrines of Christianity, form a large portion of the New Testament.

Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed minor to compare to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the apostles and disciples during their times For the sake of the Faith.
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: But he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Pass on to encourage other Christians. Why Do we feel sleepy in Prayer, but stay awake through a 3 hour movie?
Why are we so bored when we look at the HOLY BOOK. But find it easy to read other books?

Why is it so easy to ignore a massage about God,

Why are Prayers getting smaller, but bars and clubs are expanding.

Why is it so easy to worship a celebrity, but very difficult to engage with God?

Make this message your contribution to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A Deadly Frozen Night (A True Story)

=============================

There was a Jewish man named Yankel, who had a bakery, in a town, Crown Heights, Germany. He always said, "You know why I’m alive today?"

He said "I was a kid, just a teenager at the time in Germany.

Nazis were killing Jews with no mercy.

We were on the train being taken to Auschwitz by Nazis. Night came and it was deathly cold in that compartment.

The Germans left us on the side of the tracks overnight, sometimes for days, without any food. There were no blankets to keep us warm. Snow was falling everywhere. Cold winds were hitting our cheeks, every second. We were hundreds of people in that terribly cold night. No food. No water. No shelter. No blankets ".

"The blood in our bodies started freezing. It was becoming ice.

Beside me, there was a beloved elderly Jewish man from my hometown. He was shivering from head to toe, and looked
terrible. So I wrapped my arms around him to warm him up.

I hugged him tightly to give him some heat. I rubbed his arms, his legs, his face, his neck. I begged him to try to be alive.
I encouraged him.

All night long, I kept this man warm this way.

I was tired, and freezing cold myself. My fingers were numb, but I didn’t stop rubbing heat into that old man’s body.

Hours and hours went by. Finally, morning came and the sun began
to shine. I looked around to see the other people.

To my horror, all I could see were frozen bodies. All I could hear was deathly silence.

Nobody else in that cabin were alive. That freezing night killed them all.

They died from the cold. Only two people survived: the old man and me.

The old man survived because I kept him warm... and I survived because I was warming him.

May I tell you the secret to survival in this world?

When you warm other people’s hearts, you will remain warm yourself.

When you support, encourage and inspire others, then you will discover support, encouragement and inspiration in your own life as well.

My friends, That is the secret to a happy life." "When you are good to others you are good to yourself" "When you make people happy, people will make you happy"

Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill  the law of God.

False accusations!!

A Pastor Who Stole K25,000.00 Bank Cheque.

A Couple πŸ‘« invited the Pastor of their Church ⛪ for Dinner 🍲 🍻 in their Home 🏑.

After the Pastor left, the Man πŸ‘¨ said to his Wife πŸ‘©; "I think the Pastor has stolen the K25,000.00 open bank cheque that I kept on the table of which I had the intention to give him".

Angrily his Wife πŸ‘© exclaimed; "If they are not Pedophile, they are Thieves. There is no need to invite him again. We shall from henceforth be attending another Church ⛪".

Two months later, the Woman πŸ‘© met the Pastor in a certain street and was courageous enough to face him and said: "Good morning Pastor, you have surely realised that we no longer attend Church ⛪. This is because we're very angry with you. The day You ate in our House 🏑 , there was a K25,000.00 open bank cheque on the table. It disappeared while we were eating. You were the only Person who visited our House 🏑 at that time".

The Pastor said to her, "Yes, I took the cheque. I put it in the Bible πŸ“™ to avoid spilling the sauce on it".

The Woman πŸ‘© got so confused and asked the Pastor to forgive her.

Back in her House 🏑, She took up the Bible πŸ“™ and found the bank cheque which had been there for two months.

*Please Note πŸ—’*
: For Two ✌ Months, She had not opened her Bible πŸ“– to reflect on the Word of God,

For ✌ Months she and her Husband falsely accused the Pastor.

For Two Months, the incident had tortured them.

If you are Reading πŸ“– this Story now and You are not at Peace with Yourself, for any reason whatsoever, *ask yourself whether it's because you have not opened πŸ“– Your Bible πŸ“™ for a long time.*

Do you even have one?

Secondly, "do not accuse anybody falsely". So many times we accuse people wrongly

God Bless you!
