******CAN A CHRISTIAN DRINK.???*****

I received this and wish to share

When an European Airline was initially launched, an educated Christian gentleman was Traveling in the first class section.

An air hostess approached him with a complimentary drink, this was an alcoholic drink so that man politely refused.

The air hostess returned but this time bought the drink on a platter, designed to appeal and impress. However the Christian man again politely refused, explaining he doesn't drink alcohol.

The air hostess was concerned and informed the manager.
The manager approached the man with another platter, now designed with flowers, he questioned, “is there something wrong with our service? please enjoy the drink, it is a complimentary offer.”

The man replied, “I am a Christian and I do not drink alcohol.” The manager still insisted that the man take the drink.

Then, the Christian proposed that the manager should give the drink to the pilot first. The manager stated, “how can the pilot drink alcohol, he’s on duty!

And if he drinks there are all chances for the plane to crash”.

The passenger nearly shedding tears shook his head and replied, “I am a Christian and I am ALWAYS on duty in order to protect my FAITH and if I Drink Alcohol I will crash my whole life here and hereafter.
I AM 100% ON DUTY!

BillyGraham's daughter interview

Plz read
Billy Graham's  daughter was interviewed on the  Early Show and  Jane Clayson asked herTV "How could God let  something like this happen?" (regarding the  attacks on Sept. 11).  Anne Graham gave  an extremely profound and insightful  response. She said "I believe God is deeply saddened by  this, just as we are, but for years we've been  telling God to get out of our schools, to get  out of our government and to get  out of our  lives.  And being the  gentleman He is, I believe He has  calmly backed out.  How can we expect God to give us His  blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us  alone?"  In light of recent  events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I  think it started when Madeleine  Murray O'Hare (she  was murdered, her body found recently)  complained she didn't want prayer in our  schools, and we said OK.  Then someone said  you better not read the Bible in school .... the  Bible says thou shalt not kill,  thou shalt not  steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we  said OK. Then Dr. Benjamin  Spock said we shouldn't spank our children  when they misbehave  because their  little personalities would be  warped and we  might damage their self-esteem  (Dr. Spock's son  committed suicide). We said an expert should know  what he's talking about. And we said  OK.  Now we're asking  ourselves why our children  have no  conscience, why they don't know right  from wrong, and  why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers,  their classmates, and themselves.  Probably, if we  think about it long and hard  enough, we can  figure it out. I think it has a  great deal to do  with "WE REAP WHAT WE  SOW."  Funny how simple  it is for people to trash God  and then wonder  why the world's going to hell. Funny how we  believe what the newspapers say,  but question what  the Bible says.  Funny how you can  send 'jokes' through e-mail  and they spread  like wildfire but when you start  sending messages  regarding the Lord, people think twice about  sharing.  Funny how lewd,  crude, vulgar and obscene  articles pass  freely through cyberspace, but  public discussion  of God is suppressed in the  school and  workplace.  Are you  laughing?  Funny how when you  forward this message, you  will not send it  to many on your address list  because you're not  sure what they believe, or what they WILL  think,  of you for sending it. Funny how we can  be more worried about what  other people think  of us than what God thinks of  us.  Pass it on if you  think it has merit. If not  then just discard  it... no  one will know  you did. But, if  you discard this thought  process, don't sit  back and complain  about what bad  shape the world is in.

Smile can change everything

Buffalos kill 7 people every year.

Lions kill 500 people every year
Hippos kill 800 people every year.
Spiders kill 5000 in people every year.
Scorpions kill 7000 people every year.
Snakes kill 10000 people every year.

Guess what?

Mosquitoes kill 2.7 million people every year.
The smallest are the deadliest.

Small 'sins', hardly noticed by many, are the most deadly to your spiritual life.

Avoid excuses for not praying and allotting few moments of your day to your creator.
Sins of omission are just as deadly as sins of commission.

White lies, gossiping, small lies, are committed more frequently and are deadly.

Mind those little compromises that you do daily.
They are the ones that will bring your downfall.

Successful people have two things on their lips,
"Smile and silence".

Smile can solve problems, while
Silence can avoid problems.

Sugar and salt may be mixed together
but
ants reject the salt and carry away only the sugar.

Select the right people in life and make your life better and sweeter.

If you failed to achieve your dreams, change your ways not your Creator.

Remember, trees change their leaves, not their roots.

You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.

Haters will see you walking on water and say it's because you can't swim.

Even if you dance on water, Your enemies will accuse you of raising dust.

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your own hand

¿¿ WAIT ¿¿

Desperately, helplessly, longingly, I cried:

Quietly, patiently, lovingly God replied.

I pled and I wept for a clue to my fate,

And the Master so gently said, “Child, you must wait”.

“Wait? You say, wait! ” my indignant reply.

“Lord, I need answers, I need to know why!

Is your hand shortened? Or have you not heard?

By Faith, I have asked, and am claiming your Word.

My future and all to which I can relate

hangs in the balance, and YOU tell me to WAIT?

I’m needing a ‘yes’, a go-ahead sign,

or even a ‘no’ to which I can resign.

And Lord, You promised that if we believe

we need but to ask, and we shall receive.

And Lord, I’ve been asking, and this is my cry:

I’m weary of asking! I need a reply!

Then quietly, softly, I learned of my fate

As my Master replied once again, “You must wait.”

So, I slumped in my chair, defeated and taut

and grumbled to God, “So, I’m waiting…. for what?”

He seemed, then, to kneel, and His eyes wept with mine,

And he tenderly said, “I could give you a sign.

I could shake the heavens, and darken the sun.

I could raise the dead, and cause mountains to run.

All you seek, I could give, and pleased you would be.

You would have what you want

But, you wouldn’t know Me.

You’d not know the depth of My love for each saint;

You’d not know the power that I give to the faint;

You’d not learn to see through the clouds of despair;

You’d not learn to trust just by knowing I’m there;

You’d not know the joy of resting in Me

When darkness and silence were all you could see.

You’d never experience that fullness of love

As the peace of My Spirit descends like a dove;

You’d know that I give and I save…. (for a start),

But you’d not know the depth of the beat of My heart.

The glow of My comfort late into the night,

The faith that I give when you walk without sight,

The depth that’s beyond getting just what you asked

Of an infinite God, who makes what you have LAST.

You’d never know, should your pain quickly flee,

What it means that “My grace is sufficient for Thee.”

Yes, your dreams for your loved one overnight would come true,

But, Oh, the Loss! If I lost what I’m doing in you!

So, be silent, My Child, and in time you will see

That the greatest of gifts is to get to know Me.

And though oft’ may My answers seem terribly late,

My most precious answer of all is still, “WAIT.”

WHY YOU SHOULD PRAY IN THE MORNING?

And in the morning; rising up a great while before; He went out, and departed into a solitary place and there He prayed Mark 1:35. Jesus prayed in the morning!  What is so important about morning prayers? Prayer in the morning is so important because you meet God before you meet the Devil. You meet God before you meet the circumstances of life. You talk to God before you talk to many people. You fellowship with God before you fellowship with other people. You listen to His voice before you hear other voices. You hear news from Heaven before you receive breaking news from India today, Doordharshan, CNN  or BBC. You sit before God before you sit before people. You kneel before God before you kneel down before men. You Honour God before you Honour people. You sing before God before you Hear rotten music.  You get into His Presence before you get into the presence of people. You eat at His table before you eat any junk food and dead carcasses. You feed your Spirit before you feed your body. You  call Jesus before you call all other small names. You wash yourself with water- the Word of God before you wash yourself with water from city council. You see Jesus Christ before you see yourself in the mirror. You sweep your heart before you sweep your yard!

Esther

◆◆Importance of PRAYER◆◆

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled, with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin.

The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down; his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all of his might.

Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.

Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind: “you have been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn’t moved.”

Thus, giving the man the impression that the task was impossible and the he was a failure.

These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man. “Why kill myself over this?” he thought. “I’ll just put in my time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough.”

And that is what he planned to do, until one day he decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord. “Lord,” he said, “I have labored long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?”

The Lord responded compassionately, “My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown, your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. Yet you haven’t moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. This you have done.

Now I, my friend, will move the rock.”

At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just a simple obedience and faith in Him. By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God who moves mountains.

When everything seems to go wrong … just P.U.S.H.!

When the job gets you down … just P.U.S.H.!

When people don’t react the way you think they should… just P.U.S.H.!

When your money looks “gone” and the bills are due…just P.U.S.H!

When people just don’t understand you … just P.U.S.H.!

Bitterness ▶▶ Sweet

When they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter...And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweetExodus 15:23–25Always Bring In The Cross

I love the story of how God turned bitter, poisonous waters into sweet, refreshing waters for His people when they came to a place called Marah (meaning “bitterness” in Hebrew).

When the Israelites could not drink the water, Moses cried out to the Lord. The Lord showed him a tree, which Moses cast into the waters. When he did that, the Bible says that “the waters were made sweet”.

I love how God’s solution then is still God’s solution now: Throw in the tree—a picture of Jesus at the cross—to turn the bitter waters sweet.

Today, if you are facing a ”bitter waters” situation in your body or life, I want to encourage you to bring in Jesus and see what He did for you at the cross. Relief and healing don’t come from dwelling on your pain. Bring in the tree—meditate on how the cross of Jesus has saved and redeemed you—and let the Lord turn your bitter waters sweet!

Mind blowing story. .!!

A story worth sharing ....

A 4 yr old boy was in the market with his 6 yr old sister…Suddenly the boy found that his sister was lagging behind.
He stopped and looked back. His sister was standing in front of a toy shop and was watching something with great interest.

The boy went back to her and asked,”Do you want something?” The sister pointed at the doll. The boy held her hand and like a responsible elder brother, gave that doll to her.The sister was very very happy…
The shopkeeper was watching everything and getting amused to see the matured behavior of the boy… Now the boy came to the counter and asked the shopkeeper,
“What is the cost of this doll, Sir!”
The shopkeeper was a cool man and had experienced the odds of life. So he asked the boy with a lot of love n affection,”
Well, What can you pay?”

The boy took out all the shells that he had collected from sea shore, from his pocket and gave them to the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper took the shells and started counting as if he were counting the currency. Then he looked at the boy.The boy asked him worriedly,”Is it less?
”The shopkeeper said,” No,No…These are more than the cost. So I will return the remaining.” Saying so,he kept only 4 shells with him and returned the remaining. The boy, very happily kept those shells back in his pocket and went away with his sister…
A worker in that shop got very surprised watching all these. He asked his master,” Sir!You gave away such a costly doll just for 4 shells???
“The shopkeeper said with a smile,” Well, For us these are mere shells.
But for that boy, these shells are very precious. And at this age he does not understand what money is, but when he will grow up, he definitely will. And when he would remember that he purchased a doll with the Shells instead of Money, he will remember Me and think that world is full of Good people.
He will develop positive thinking..Thats it…”
